Day 1

- Tie-Down Strength Requirement: Learning about the necessary strength requirements for tie-downs to ensure secure transport.
- Cargo Specific Training: Detailed methods for securing different types of cargo, including:
- Steel Coils
- Paper Coils
- Steel
- Lumber
- Weight Calculations: Techniques for calculating the weight of cargo to ensure proper securement and compliance with regulations.
- Use of Tools for Securement: Instruction on various tools and materials used for cargo securement, including:

- Equipment Inspection: How to inspect and maintain securement equipment such as:

- Aggregate Working Load Limit
- Fundamentals of Cargo Securement: Continued focus on core securement principles.
- Evans Specific Rules and Regulations Review: A representative from Evans will present company-specific rules and regulations.
- View Cargo Accident: Analysis of a cargo accident to understand real-world implications of improper securement.
- Securement Discussion: Practical discussion on securing various types of cargo, including:

- Heavy Machinery

- Side-by-Side Loads
- Sensitive or Fragile Machining Equipment
