About Us:
Tender Tech Child Development Center
Tender Tech Child Development Center is located on the Flint River Campus of Southern Crescent Technical College and proudly serves as a Georgia Pre-K Program for children ages 4 to 5. We welcome families from both the college community and the surrounding area.As a Bright from the Start Quality Rated Center, Tender Tech is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. For the safety and security of all children and families, each classroom is equipped with security cameras.
Our program utilizes the Creative Curriculum, a hands-on, play-based approach to learning that supports the developmental needs of Pre-K learners. Teachers create engaging lesson plans centered around themes and units of study, incorporating interactive activities that encourage exploration, creativity, problem-solving, and school readiness.
To support each child's growth and development, teachers conduct assessments using the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS). Families receive regular updates on their child's progress and are encouraged to partner with teachers in supporting learning goals throughout the school year.
Tender Tech participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), providing nutritious meals and snacks to enrolled children each day.
Our goal is to prepare children for a successful transition to kindergarten by fostering confidence, independence, social-emotional development, and a lifelong love of learning.
