The FAA Remote Pilot Certificate is a mandatory requirement for those seeking compensation for drone operations. This course provides in-depth instruction on all key subjects covered in the FAA’s 60-question exam, including:

With over 50 years of aviation experience, Captain Eckhardt brings unparalleled expertise to the classroom. His impressive journey in aviation includes:
✈️ Earning his Private Pilot Certificate at 18
✈️ Achieving an Instrument Rating & Multi-Engine Rating at 21
✈️ Becoming a Certified Flight Instructor, specializing in Instrument & Multi-Engine Training
✈️ Earning his Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
✈️ Instructing both primary and advanced pilots for three years
✈️ Serving as a Captain for British Caribbean Airways, flying Beech 18 and DC-3 aircraft
✈️ Accumulating 32 years of experience as a Captain with Atlantic Southeast Airlines
Following his mandatory FAA airline pilot retirement at age 65, Captain Eckhardt continued his passion for aviation, working as a Part 135 charter jet pilot (Phenom 300) before transitioning to academia. He is now the Program Coordinator and Lead Instructor for SCTC’s UAV Program, as well as a volunteer drone consultant for the government.
